Heard from hospital

Well i called them yesterday morning and was told they would be calling later in the afternoon to set it up.Around 3 pm i had all my 3 dates finalized,the only thing i'm not sure about is what time my surgery is.Well my date is 10/25/2005. I'm just gonna have a hard time with the 2 appointments since i have to be at the hospital at 9 am and be there almost all day.my 5 year old is in kindergarten and he gets on bus at 8:15 am and gets off at 11:45 am so its gonna be fun trying to find someone to pick him up. well congrats to you richard,i stay in lurkville most of the time,but i have been keeping up with you,i see they have gotten better with giving appts.i was approved in may 04 did not get my 2nd appt.untill june and did not get a surgery date untill aug.and my surgery wasn't untill september,but anyway you will 9 times out of ten be the first case in the morning i know i was,when my cousin had hers she was first in and also sue that had her surgery there was also the first case also,so i expect you will be to.also you will need to make arrangements for your son to be picked up,because i know for the last 2 appts.i had to be there at 9 and i dind'n get out of there untill 2 or 3. wishing you the best of blessings on your upcoming surgery,you know you have one of the best surgeons in ohio. if you have any questions feel free to e-mail at anytime. take care ebony

Rich....FINALLY! The next few weeks will absolutely fly by! Ebony is right...the first appointment is a long one! I was there for 8 hours! The next one was pretty fast.....but still would arrange for someone to pick up your son......you won't make it in time! So you only have to wait about a month! That's not fair! I had to wait 8 weeks from the time they gave me my date! My surgery was the first of the a.m. With Dr. J.....I go again on Sept. 28th to get my gallbladder out. I am the second surgery that day and don't have to be there until 8....right during rush hour! Good luck! You will get so much information your head will be spinning! Maybe I will make the pre-op meeting in Oct......if he can do my surgery lap....... Sue

Richard that's awesome..everyone is right..we wait and wait, it feels like it takes forever to get approved and a date set..then suddenly it's here and you are thinking.."ack, I don't have time to get it all done" but all will work out and things will be awesome throughout your journey..Good Luck and keep us posted..
