Well I did it, now what?????

Well, I got an appeal letter together and sent it with the letter from my doctor, my weight history, a copy of their denial letter and a copy of a complaint (that I haven't sent in yet) to the Ohio Department of Insurance. What should be my next step, any advice. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks Tami

I would give it a few weeks. They might over turn it before it goes to far. I would set on it a couple of weeks. Then take futher action with the Ohio Goverment. Take Care Barb

Do you mean I should wait a couple of weeks to check on the status or wait a couple of weeks to send in the complaint to the Ohio DOI?

I would wait and see if the insurance company does anything. If they dont then I would continue. Alot of times that makes them give your claim a quick notice. But all insurance companies are different.I have read so many profiles on this. You will know within a week or 2. If you do not hear from them then I would continue. Is there a exclusion on your insurance. If there is not . I Think you can get this overturned. Take Care Barb

I would wait until Monday and then see if you can call someone to assure that they received it! One of the lovely tricks my insurance played was the "we never received that paper" game.
