Hello, MY sergury date is Sept, 28, I am so nurvious but anchious...I was wondering how long It will before I can bowl. Does anyone know?

Congrats Ruth. I had my surgery on Sep 2nd. When you can start bowling again will pretty much depend on your dr's instructions but I will tell you that it will take at least 2 weeks if not longer to get your stamia up but who knows we are all different so your recovery time may be more or less than that..

I think I would go bowling tonight lol . You will know believe me. It takes a while.

Ruth, I think it would depend on if you had an open RNY or lap! People all heal differently. I wasn't allowed to pick up anything heavier than 10 pounds for the first 6 weeks. BTW.....who is doing your surgery? I went up to Clevenland for mine! I had Dr. Jasper at UH. I am having surgery on the 28th also....taking out my gallbladder! Good luck with your surgery! Sue

Dear Ruth, Please make sure that you do not bowl until you KNOW you are ready for it! I just hope that your bowling score doesn't go down, when your weight does! You will get your swing back after surgery!!!
