Doing the happy dance!

Today I found out that the run around I've had with Aetna since July was a huge mistake on their part. The company my husband works for is self insured and they do cover WLS. The benefits coordinator just returned from maternity leave and could not believe all that I had been through. She said all I need is a compelling medical necessity letter from my physician and I truly have to meet the medical necessity requirements. I more than meet them. So she told me that she has a rep that will expedite and walk my paperwork through all of the steps personally since I've been run through the mill. She said I'll be setting a date within the next week or 2. I thank God for this, because after all I've been through, this is truly a miracle!

I think the insurance companies see if we can live through the stress of jumping through all of the hoops before they approve our surgeries. I figured they thought I would croak before they had to pay for the WLS. But gosh darn it after 2 and a half years it finally happened and I am four months and 2 days post op. And it all seems worthwhile now. I am happy for you and doing a little River Dancing for you!!!!!! Hugs from Laura 310/186/16000 Yipppeeeeee!!!!
