sent my application into OSU. I kept putting it off, i guess, because i am just so afraid. But today I took the next step and sent off the app. When should I hear something? How soon should the fun begin?

Congratulations!! When I sent my Application to OSU they did'nt respond for 5 weeks, so I would definitely call them after 2 weeks. Does your insurance cover bariatric surgery? Are you attending a support Group? I began attending a support group and that really helped ease my mind of any worries and the people are great and will answer any questions you may have. feel free to email me Josie

Hi _____ congrat's. OSU's program is a good one, especially if you live close enough to make all the classes they want you to attend. I opted not for OSU cause of all the classes, I couldn't run back and forth to Columbus 3x's a week or however many it was back when. have a great day!

Bobbie, Dont be ashamed of how you look. We have all been there and felt that same uncomfortable feeling. But you will be amazed how much good it will do you to talk with people who are going through the same things you are. Being overweight doesnt make you a social outcast !!!! I am proud of you for taking this first step towards your new life. Each of these little baby steps prepare you for your life postop. Listen and you can learn a little something from everyone, and by the time you get to surgery you will be well prepared. Keep posting and Never give up the fight to get your surgery!!!!!!!! Love and Hugs Laura
