Any Grandveiw Hospital Patients Around

I have a appt tomorrow with my surgeon. Dr David Bruce and Friday I have a 3 Hr appoint at grandveiw hospital, For Testing.. Does anyone know what the test consist of. My daughter is going with me. I am alittle nervous. Is there any Granveiw patients out there. I Know they have a new bariatric ward. Take Care Barb

Greetings Ann, I am not a Grandview patient; however, my mom does surgery scheduling for them and used their testing requirements to help me get all my testing done before my consult. I had CBC Thyroid T3 and T4 ABG Pulmonary Function Test Lower Venous Doplar (sp?) EKG Upper GI Sorry if I forgot any, I have been going on 3 hours sleep in the last days. Hi Barb, I had my surgery at Grandview on July 8th. I didn't have my pre admission testing there because I had already started the process somewhere else. Well I did have some there but not many. Testing was fine and not really a big deal other than I have a hard time giving blood. Can't seem to find my veins. As far as the new bariatric rooms they were great. The rooms were big and private. The nursing staff on the floor were wonderful to me. Very helpful and made me as comfortable as possible. Walked with me, brought me all the ice I wanted! I thought the bathroom sink was too high and deep for someone who just had surgery. It was difficult to brush my teeth and do any kind of washing. Other than that I had a wonderful experience.
