Anyone over 60 out there??
Did you know there is an Over Fifty Forum? The link for it is: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/amosforums/over_50/
I am 52 and post there some. They are a great group of "mostly" girls!! Bet you find some good friends there.

Hi Ruth!
I was a little jittery about the surgery at my age & poor health. I'm not quite 60, but pretty darn close. The weight is coming off slowly & I still have a couple of health issues I'd hope would have been resolved, but I haven't regretted it for a second & wish I'd done it much sooner.
My recovery was completely uneventful & I had very little pain afterwards. Best of luck with your surgery.

Hi,
I'm 62 and had lap RNY July 11 2005 and sailed right through it. I feel pretty good. I do get tired but I did before. I go to Curves 3-4 days a week for exercise. I had no complications from surgery. The only problems I have are my own making and that is when I eat too fast. The most important thing is to do exactly what your Dr. tells you and take your vitamins and be sure you get you protein.
I wish you a easy surgery and a speedy recovery. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
