Ok tell me what you think......
Hello Family,
I originally had a surgery date of Aug 24th but just the day before I receive a call that it is rescheduled because they found out I had a UTI so I ask the surgeon if he could submit FMLA papers on my behalf to cover me being off from Aug 24th up until the new surgery date of Sep 2nd and his assistant calls and tells me that the doctor wont fill out the paperwork to cover me being off from work for that time even though Im having some pain when I urinate and some cramping and some diarriah (sp) Im so
I really want to just cancel this whole thing Ive had nothing but problems with this practice Im trying to remain positive to the benefits I will receive with this surgery but I can't go into it feeling as upset as I do and surgery now is only 2 days away am I wrong for feeling this way???? How can I get my spirits up at this point????

Hi Felicia,
I understand how frustrated you must feel right now, but let's take a look at this situation after a few cleansing breaths.
You have to understand that your physician has guidelines and an FMLA for a UTI is probably not something that is gonna work out. So........get over that.
Now, you say in your profile that you have researched this surgery for quite some time. Just rely on your good judgement and the research you did to get to this point. Do you want to jeopardize your path? I don't think so.
Sometimes, when I feel frustrated, I look back at old posts and messageboards. It helps to put things into perspective.
I think we all feel a little emotional right before our surgery. It is a life-changing surgery and it is, quite frankly, a little scary. Even if you are sure this is what you want to do.
Let me just tell you, that I am giving you a ((((((hug))))))) all the way from Columbus. You are fine and, at two years out, I wouldn't trade what I have been through for the world. You are gonna be awesome.
Chin up, take a deep breath, and go forward.
Blessings!
Suzie

I second what was said previously. Go forward if you are comfortable with this physician doing your surgery. If not, find someone else ASAP since you probably have insurance approval. Its easier to switch doctors after approval, than if you have to start from scratch. If you decided that this surgery was for you, it still is and you need to do what ever works for you. I had surgery a little over 6 months ago and couldn't be more pleased. Hope you find some peace with your decison. Chris
