Dr. Curry, I am scheduled to see my surgeon in September and cannot get in any sooner. I am able to eat large than normal amounts and have been having dull sometimes burning pain on my left side. I have an incisional hernia and have been told I have a possible ulcer in the old stomach, have been on Protonix, even doubled up to 2 weeks and still having the pain. I was transected. I had an endoscopy and upper gi in December and everything was normal. But I was able to eat a 12 inch turkey sub and was not drinking with it. I was also able to eat an 8oz steak, soup, salad, and share an appetizer the other night at dinner...I admit I was drinking during that meal...but that still seemed like a lot, and it was not over that long of a time span, less than an hour. I don't eat like that often, but it scares me that I can, it makes me think something is wrong. I have also gained between 20-30lbs since April, but during that time I have been doing water aerobics 2x a week. Any thoughts? Thanks, Sarah

Pouch size would be a concern - you probably need an upper GI as it is hard to quantify pouch size on endoscopy. Good luck, C
