EVERYTHING! and the most important and best part of the day.... EVERYTHING! Plus getting to meet so many of my AMOS family! I was really too busy running around (i volunteered for the event) that I didn't sit though any of the sessions totally! But visited them all briefly! hugs,

I enjoyed a lot of the speakers. Steve Tomsic gave a good motivational speech that mostly geared on how to handle temptation. Awareness Adjustments Action Appraisal Acheivement Dr. Stickler really got my attention with a talk about metabolic processes involving weightloss. He was pushing a holistic supplement path for when you stop losing weight. My background is in medical chemistry and hematology and I usually don't buy into the healthfood supplement business, but he was convincing. His website is medabolix.com. Dr. Butterfield's speech on plastic surgery only made me decide not to have plastic surgery unless it was really really necessary. Looks too painful. Of course my favorite was Erin's lapband talk where Dr. C gave me a fill right there on the pool table. My 10 minutes of fame Cathy

Complete DITTO on everything Cathy said! Dr. Stickler had some great ideas on boosting your metabolism and I am willing to try anything... so we'll see how it goes. Dr. Ganz is an AMAZING speaker as well - she talked about how to realize you aren't the obese person you used to be. I could listen to her talk all day - very motivational and "together." On the whole, it was a great presentation even though I felt (very very) bad for the woman she picked out of the audience and said "I still see myself like this" (referring to her pre-weight loss self.) I know I wouldn't want to be called out in a crowd as the "person that you used to be before you lost several hundred pounds" example. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive (as I am with all things weight related)... who knows, but I wanted to cry for that lady. But, really, the highlight of the day was A.) meeting all of you great people. B.) Seeing Cathy get a fill on a pool table (Pics to follow!) and C.)the guy from the Rehab Center (it's a gym and a treadmill pool thingy). I was talking to him about his pool and he said "Are you thinking about the surgery? Because you don't need it, you look great!" Yep, that man is a GOOD salesman!

It was informative, motivating, inspirational. I found the surgeons that did the reconstructive surgery very interesting. I agree with Melissa.. Monica had a great motivational speech. Everything was great. The best was getting to see everyone that you meet on here. I still did not meet everyone.. maybe next time I will. I can't wait to do this again! Hugs, Julie

Vicki thanks for all your help on Saturday .. Cathy I am sorry I didn't get to stay and watch the fill..I would have liked that but every time I went to see something I got called into something else. I am sorry you had to use the pool table..but you looked comfy when I peeked in..LOL I met Evan Sayres of Howell Rehab when he was doing a work out class several months ago, the next meeting was at the center when he was working in the pool you mentioned..it was an amazing thing to watch.. I checked out every speaker before I invited them to the event..I wanted to make sure they wanted to come for the right reason..I am glad to see you were not disappointed!! Brenda
