duodenal switch question

Do any of you know of any physicians around central or southern ohio that will perform this surgery that will accept medicaid? Everyone I have heard about will not accept medicaid. Maybe you guys know something I dont. Thank you.

As far as I know, Ohio Medicaid does not cover DS or lapband, only the RNY. Dr. Curry at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati accepts Medicaid for RNY. His website is newyourealyou.com

I do not know if Medicaid will cover DS... But now that I think of it, I remember my surgeon's office giving me a paper handout with a list of all the insurances that they accept... I *think* Medicaid was on there. But I would definatley reccommend calling his office to ask. His name is Dr. Maguire, and at the center, are also 1 or 2 more docs who perform the DS. They have informational seminars once per month I think. During that seminar, you get to hear from one of the surgeons, a post RnYer, and a post DSer. (They do both of those types of wls) It's very imformative. His staff is so helpful and kind.
