I know how you feel.. I have seen the surgeon but with my insurance, once he sends them the papers I still have to wait 12 months for an approval or denial... It has been 2 weeks....I am crazy already. It is all I think about and I wonder why the world can't stop until I know what is going to happen... It is hard to think of anything else...I know they are bored with me talking about it also...But it's on my mind every hour of every day.. Good luck to you on your journey.........

It does start to rule your life. I got to the point that is all I did. Was stayed on the computer reading prifile after profile. I had nine months to get past me. I just decided. Time is going by slow. I decided to stop living for the surgery and get my mind off of it. By doing home projects and going camping and enjoying my grandkids. Then time starting to fly by. Just think you have all the holidays coming up. That will help time fly by. Christmas will be here before you know it. The part that bothers me is I was ready to have surgery this month and it was set back. That is all I hear is when are you having your surgery. I do not leave my house. Everyone tells me I dont need it. They are not carrying 270 pounds around either. I am sick of them all. They are driving me nuts, Especailly Dear dad. He calls me up everyday telling me I dont need it. I had a heart attack 2003 I am only 47 They do not live in my shoes. He tells me if I have it I will die. ( Wow what support) I have 3 sister all under 140 they tell me it is a easy way out. That surgery is not normal or natural. I do have 2 supportive daughters. Husband doesnt care one way or the other. Barb, If you need a friend to talk to here I am. I know my process was 9 months long. I think the worst was worrying was the insurance going to cover the surgery. Once I got the approval life started living again for me. I had something to look forward to. Now that I am 3 months out. I feel great. I have lost 63lbs and it just keeps coming off. I am getting to eat new foods everday. My energy level is up. I have not been working out due to the heat, but once we hit some 70 degree days.. I am putting on my walking shoes. I like going shopping again because I know that my size is going to keep going down instead of up. You are experiencing all the normal things I did. My family just let me vent when I needed to and tried to understand my frustrations. As long as you have someone to help support you, and that you have a group of friends on here that care... you will do just fine. We are here when you need us....just say the word. Email me if you need to talk... I will listen. Good Luck and God Bless... You will get through this.... Hugs Julie
