Hello Dr. Curry Lap Banders-Q & A for You

Hello, Next Monday is FINALLY my consult with Dr. Curry. I am looking sooooo forward to meeting him and all of his staff. I have already seen my pcp, have my appt for the psych eval (boy, that was something else...I saw a psych doc last week and took that 567 question test and my insurance will not cover the test so now I will be going to a different doc for the eval and thank goodness she does not require this test stuff!!), went for the sleep study (I do have mild sleep apnea) and I go Sat even for my cpap trial. I'm also pretty sure that my insurance will cover the surgery. So, I know that the process is slow but, I am so excited I can hardly wait. Does anyone know that if everything is okay and I am accepted for surgery, how long will it take til banding day? I guess I am wondering how back logged they might be for surgery? One more question...I work on Thursday evenings every week. Do you know if Erin offers support groups at different times? I want to be sure to attend as many of those as possible. I used to own a direct sales franchise and I know that motivation is the key to success!! I would like to thank you in advance for responding. My teenage kids think I am using the pc a little too much these days. I love to get on this site and check out everyones experiences. Thanks, Leesa

Leesa, I can't speak to how long it will take to get insurance approval, but it sounds like you have a lot of the work done already! Say if we received your insurance approval today - we'd probably be operating on you about a month from now. See you soon! C
