3 wks post op - amazing
Today I am 3 weeks out from my Lap Rouen Y. I am amazed at how painless the whole procedure was. I was tender and sore but really had no pain from the surgery. Had mine done at Akron City Hospital by Dr. Z. Everyone was great from surgery to going home. I couldn't have had any better care. I am on full liquids now and will advance to Puree/Blenderized foods on Thurs. Any suggestions or recipes would be helpful. This just sounds disguisting. Had a big weight drop by my first post op visit but has essentilly stopped since. Of course I am getting discouraged but have been told to stay off the scale and my body will adjust and stop dropping again.
Want to thank everyone for all their prayers and kind words of encourage. Its great to be on the losing side!
Karen , So happy for you and im also glad to hear good words about Dr Z i am in the insurance approval pre testing phase right now and i cant wait to be where you are . are you back to work yet ? i am hoping to be back to work in 2 to 3 weeks and since you are saying it was pretty painless i am hopeful how has your pouch been behaving ? best of luck to you
Missy

Missy, I came back to work on Monday - so just one day shy of 3 weeks post op. I do mostly office work, my job is not physically strenuous. Bev is the best for working with insurance. I read all the horror stories on here about what a problem insurance seems to be but Bev made it very easy.
Dr. Z., his office staff, and everyone at the hospital have been great. I will tell you my first appt with him was over a year ago. It took me awhile to figure out how to pay for everything, but was it is a great investment in my future! It seems surreal. I still cant believe its done. Towards the end, time goes really fast.
Congrats!!! I am 12 days post op and left the hospital on pureed foods. I seem to eat the same things over and over and over again. Cottage cheese, Sugar Free pudding (home made so that I get the protein in), pureed chicken and mashed potatoes .. and of course, protein shakes!
Keep up the great work!
Shellie
