Obesity Help group meeting

I live in Illinois and have already had the surgery. I have a cousin that lives in Elyria (outside of Cleveland) that is looking into having the surgery. Can anyone tell me of any support group meetings around that area? Thanks Lori

Lori, If your cousin is pre-op they have support group meetings at University Hospital in Cleveland. They are the first Monday of the month @ 6 p.m. They want you to call for reservations prior to the meeting. I had my surgery there on 6/1....I love the program and the surgeons! Love the entire staff! They really care about you as an individual....... Sue

The Cleveland Clinic also has a great support meeting. It is held the second Thursday of each month and starts at 6:00pm. I would suggest you call 216-444-2200 and ask for the Weight Management Program for additonal information. The weight loss program at the Clinic is excellent. Everyone from the scheduler to the surgeons really get involved with making the experience a positive one for you. I had my surgery there on July 19, 2005 and I am doing great!
