weight loss
I need some honest help here.
Before my surgery I weighed 225. On my 1 week visit after surgery (which was July 19th) I weighed 208. (I did the 10 day starvation diet B 4 surgery! lol) and then a few days later I weighed 203. And that is where I have been staying. I follow the diet and I walk. How quickly should I expect weight loss?
Please don't beat me up for asking this. My husband gives me a hard way to go about being obbessed with my weight loss!!
Right after surgery a good friend of mine said these words to me..
GET RID OF THE SCALES!!
lol..when I stopped weighing every 10 mins. I seemed to lose faster..or was my mind just playing tricks?
What was the old saying...a watched pot never boils?
I am sure Dr. Curry did a wonderful job with your surgery, the weight will come off...hang in there!!
Brenda
I have to agree with Brenda about those scales. The weight will come off sooner then you expect. I didn't even own a scale until about 6 months after my surgery. I became a scale hog. Not a good thing! My problem became concerns that I was losing to fast. Dr. Curry thought I was doing well with the loss so I stopped obessing about it so much. You'll wake up one morning and put on your favorite new shorts that you never wore before, take 2 steps and realize that they are down around your ankles! Hang in there....you'll be smaller before you know it!
