Hello, Just a note to let everyone in OH know how impressed I am with the staff at Dr. Curry's office. As you may have already known from a previous post, I was in a dilema about choosing a surgeon for this lap band surgery...well, Thurs evening I e-mailed Charity and cc'd Tracy (the insurance coord) and I get an e-mail back first thing in the morning from Tracy with positive information about coverage. I called the office at 8:30 am and talked to Charity who made my appt to see Dr. Curry on Aug 15th. I also have registered through the "patient portal" at their office. It was so easy. And on this Monday, Tues & Sat I will see a physciatrist for my evaluation. Anybody know why it takes three different days for them to determine I'm insane?? Just kidding?? But really, what will I do with him for three visits? He will then forward the eval. to Dr. Curry before my initial consult. I have already seen my PCP and have a letter stating that this surgery is a good idea for me. And, all of my medical records for the past 2 years are being pulled to be sent to their office too. WOW-this is what I call getting the ball rolling. Anyone know, if everything continues to move along smoothly, how long it typically takes to have the surgery from the first consult with the surgeon?

I knew you would love that office. You made a great choice and I am so happy for you. Once you see Dr.C you will get in as soon as he has an opening. He is really good about that and he cares on how you feel. Erin will help you too because she will understand how badly you want to get it done. She had the band also. You're in excellent hands!! As you can tell, Dr. C. has a big fan club here and with good reason! Really, once all of my pre-work was done, I had a date set almost immediately. I was amazed at how quickly it all went. It will be here before you know it. Good luck!!
