This is for the people who went through United Health Care, I was wondering how much of the surgery UHC actually covered?

Ashley, I have UHC Select Plus POS through SBC and they (cust serv) told me that they cover the surgery 100%. They didn't require anything either. I know all policies are different...it depends on the company you work for. Now I can't say anything for sure yet, since my paperwork is awaiting approval right now. The girls that send in the paperwork said that they didn't forsee any problems with approval, though. Good luck with your WLS journey!! Take care, Joni

Everyone's United Healthcare plans are different. Even if you have a POS, too, that doesn't mean that your specific policy doesn't have a direct exclusion. It's your employer that chooses the stipulations. You need to call the benefits number on the back of your card to find out if you have benefits for weight loss surgery.
