The best tip I can give is this:
I knew the two weeks after surgery, I'd be at my Mom's house,
so I just wanted to be alone the evening before surgery. I was
able to change around my work hours the day before surgery so
I made time to just calm down, be alone with my cats, and just
be alone with myself. I didn't get a moment alone till three weeks
after surgery, and I need my solitude to maintain my sanity.

Hi Cindy, yes ,you are going to have every emotion you can think of. Even ones you never knew you had. It is a very hard this week but you will get through it. It all goes so fast. You just have to take one day at a time. I was really nervous until the night before. I wrote all the dreams I had for myself on paper and got very excited. One year later I have reached all ny goals with only 17 lbs to go. Last night I realized I could scratch my back anywhere. I could reach all the spots. I was so shocked. you will be so happy. Just keep on this site and talk about your feelings everyday. I couldnt have made it without everybody here. Lots of love and prayers, you will do great, Cindy
