tube out tomorrow

My surgery was this past Tuesday morning!!! The hard part is over, right?? I'm feeling pretty good; a little banged up and walkin a little slow but pretty good! Up until the surgery I was worried about the surgery. The night before the surgery I was worried about getting the IV because that hurts, lol. (it was nothing!!!) But tomorrow I go in to get my tube out and now I'm worried ALOT about that!! Can someone please post or even email me and tell how they do, how much pain is involved and all the details please???? Thanks, I know I'm a big baby, Jenn p.s. if anyone has surgery coming up and they want some details, I'm very fresh and I can give them to ya!

I had my tube removed before I left the hospital. It did not hurt, but it sure felt weird! It is a hard thing to discribe, sort of feels like a baby or something moving in you. Really weird, but no pain for me when mine was taken out. Hope this helps. Hugs, Lisa

I had my tube in for two weeks. It didn't really hurt that badly having it pulled out, however, it did make this disgusting slurrpy type noise when she pulled it out. Very sickening.

Thanks for the responses; that does help! My hubby is laughing @ me- I went in and had this BIG surgery but I'm afraid to have the tube taken out!!

I didnt even feel it. Dr C just talks to you and you dont even realize its out. He is so gentle and that really means alot. He does not want you in pain and makes everything easy. When I had my stricture I couldnt believe how easy it was .. He was down in the x-ray room with me. I have never had a Doctor do that and I a 56 years old. You are not a baby,you are human. I am so afraid of the dentist I cant believe it. Dont worry,Dr C is great and he will take such good care of you. The tube removal was simple. Let us know, love Cindy
