What is the best thing??
Sue,
Your post made me laugh at first because I have experienced all of the very same things. But also made me sad that I lived that life for so long. I just have to Thank God each and every day that he gave me the strength to keep fighting when Medicaid kept denying me. I could not of done this on my own. I feel so blessed that I have been given this chance to rediscover myself and this completely different new and better life.
And best of all I got to meet all of you wonderful people here...
Lots of Love and Hugs

Going to Kings Island and FITTING ON THE RIDES without feeling liked I am squished like a sardine. Also, this past weekend, I was able to shop in the regular department of the store! Granted, it is for 18's but I didn't have to go to the plus sizes!!!!! Hubby is hiding the credit cards as we speak! LOL
I feel so much better and have energy to work the job I am working now, which is such a blessing.

Hi Stacey,
I am 2 1/2 months out. I find myself blissful in the realization that the surgery is behind me....that food is no longer a "hobby"....that I DO NOT feel the compulsion to eat whatever is in the house just because it is there...not worrying that I might "never" have a chance to eat "it' again. I feel free. Free and oh so fortunate.
I love NOT having the feeling of dread that for some reason the latest "eating plan" will NOT work. i KNOW this is working and will continue to do so.
It is not an easy thing to do. It most certainly is not any easy way out...but it is the way for me.
Try not to worry if you go through periods of regret following the surgery. I think every one has felt that at some point in time.

I have flown two round-trip airplane flights since my surgery & the biggest thrill is to be able to buckle up in the seat without sucking it up & wiggling around to get the seat belt fastened. I now have a good 6 or 8 inches of slack on the seat belt, whereas before I had to max it out to get the darn thing snapped!
Also, I can get the tray table down with about 4 inches to spare. Before it rested on my pot belly at about a 30 degree angle. My feet don't swell on the airplane anymore either.... it used to take me a whole day to recover from flying!
