What is the best thing??
Good Morning: I would really like to hear about what your most positive experience has been or goal you have accomplished or the best part of your journey, etc, regarding WLS. With my surgery date around the corner, (next Thursday) I feel like it would be helpful to me and maybe other pre-ops to remain focused on the positives!
Thanks for your support and encouragement!!
Stacey
The best thing for me is to be able to do my water aerobics for almost 2 hours 2 times a day and not get tired or out of breath. Preop I would be out of breath walking from the handicapped parking spot at Walmart to the front door. Now it makes me feel so great to know that I can outlast most of the skinny people in the pool and that each and every day I am getting stronger.
This surgery saved my life, and I keep telling myself the best is yet to come.

Hi Stacey~
Best of Luck on your surgery!!! You will not regret it!!!
the BIG things~~ my blood pressure is NORMAL and my cholesterol is approaching normal. I can go up flights of stairs and NOT get winded... I can walk long distances.. I can RUN... I can play games with my kids & grand kids like Volleyball... wow... I have so many "I can" 's !!!!
some small things~~ I can cross my legs again, I do not have to push the seat all the way back in my car to get in & out... I wear a smaller size.. people think I look 10-15 years younger...
and I just plain feel GREAT!

The first best part was switching doctors and finding Dr. Curry. It was a total fluck because I was on my way to West Va. The next best part was having the surgery over with. I was more afraid I could never eat again. Boy was I wrong. I can eat everything except steak ,rice,BBQ ribs. I dont love fast food at all and that is a miracle. The greatest joy is having 105lbs off and do what I could do when I was a kid. Its the greatest gift I have ever been given and I thank Dr.Curry and the staff. They are my miracles and angels. Then all my friends I have made on this site. I have had many wonderful moments in this journey, but I could never have done this without all of everyones help. I hope I can help other people going through this as much as I have been helped. No question is dumb,we all asked everything,at least I did. Love,CIndy
Cindy - How much does Dr. Curry pay you?? Just kidding. I have been very impressed by what people say about him and that he posts on this board. You are lucky to have him in your area. And wow what an accomplishment: 105lbs!!!!!!!! I so look forward to the day I can say that I have lost that much!!!
Thank You!!
