I am pre op. i am scheduled for August 2!! Can't wait. My friend just had hers today. just came back from seeing her. she's doing very well!! we were on the site together and were just wondering if there were any other Z patients out there. It's nice of you to respond. you said you are 2 weeks post op, how are things going? I can't wait until i can say that i'm 2 weeks out!! Are you going to the next support meeting? I haven't gone to any yet but am planning to go to that one. Can you bring your spouse or would it be better not to? I look forward to hearing from you. Josette

Hi Josette! Good luck with your upcoming surgery. I'm glad to hear that your friend did well. I have had a rocky couple of weeks, but have finally turned the corner and am feeling more like myself everyday. Everyone is different and some bounce back sooner than I have, so it's taken a little bit of time for me. I must reassure myself that I had this major operation only two short weeks ago. In that case, I'm very lucky and blessed to be feeling as good as I do. Yes, I have been to a support group meeting and I thought it was great. I am planning to attend on the 27th, and my wife is planning to go with me. There were several spouses at the last meeting I attended. They need the support as much as we do since they are going through the journey right along with us. Please introduce yourself if you want to at the meeting. There aren't many men so I'm easy to spot and I'm young. See you there.

good luck with your venture, i am scheduled for August 2!!! you know, they are so good in that office that the insurance issue doesn't seem as bad as it is for some. The staff knows exactally what is needed and that helps so much. there is a support meeting coming up if you hadn't heard yet. i haven't been to any but in my pre op class today, some of them had been to them and found them very helpful.
