I did it on my own.

Well my Hubby caught at bad virus. He was so sick he actually lost 6lbs in three days. I started getting sick on Thursday. I called Barix and told them what was going on, and that I was scared I would end up dehydrated again. Dr. Barbara ( who is soooo great ) gave me the option of going ahead in the hospital and starting on fluids, or to try to keep heydrated at home, and if I got any worse then to come on it. I listened to what he said to do, and what to drink. I am so happy that I actually kept myself hydrated on my own with having a virus. The main thing he told me to do was to keep taking my anti nausea meds, and to drink jello water with liquid protein in it, and just to keep pouring the liquids down me. It was hard cause when you are sick all you want to do is sleep and run to bathroom, but I stayed focused my my fluids, and kept myself out of the hsopital. I am feeling real good today, and I am going to start introducing food again later today. I am jsut so happy that even though it was hard to do, I did it and I did not have to go back in the hospital. Hugs, Lisa

I am proud of you ! Even though you were feeling miserable you were in your own home, your own jammies and most likely got much more rest than at the hospital. It was the same with me when I passed this kidney stone, the Doc wanted me in the hospital as it was working its final way out, and I begged him to let me stay home. It worked out so much better. I didnt have to deal with anyone coming in and asking me what my pain level was.. IT WAS AN 11.. So leave me alone. I promised I would call if I started running a temp, vomiting etc.. And lo and behold my Kidney stone was born a week ago Thursday. A bouncing baby boy named Kid.. LOL Thank God that ordeal is over and now I just have to watch my calcium intake and no more ice tea.. ( Pouting).. I hope you continue to recover and feel like yourself again. Hugs, Laura
