Dr. Ben-Meir and St. Vincent's Charity Hospital - Cleveland

I had lap-band surgery on July 14th and came home on July 15th. I had an excellent nursing staff taking care of me and I can't say enough good things about my doctor, Dr. Ben-Meir. He came in to see me before surgery, then afterwards once I was in my room and then before I left the next day. I was up and walking around after surgery. I have read other posts that said walking would help with the gas pains, so I was up and walking several times before I left. I'm home and not in any pain, but uncomfortable from gas and am trying to get my full liquids in, but I feel full. I'm drinking a protein drink now and it seems like so much. I never thought I'd ever say that about food! So far, so good!!

the losing side. I have always heard that the quicker you got up moving the better off you were, had my gull bladder out 10 years ago and walked as much as they would let me, and 4 and 5 years ago I had two c-sections,, the first one I moved a few hours afterwards, including a shower my second on the nurse wouldn't let me move for 12 hours and I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it. I am so happy to hear you say you got up moving as uch as possible and that it's helped you. Again congrats on your some what pain free surgery. Julie k.
