Medicare UGGGG!!!

well I just got my statement from medicare today and they didnt cover any of the 500.00 for my first consult I know with medicare there is nothing to get preapproved with them but since they didnt cover any of my consult does that mean they wont cover the surgery or the hospital??? help I am freaking out!!!!! my surgery is getting so close august 2nd I have to take medication to control HBP and diabetes along with joint pain and a BMI of 59.3 medicare told me that i qualify for it to be coverd but I cant believe it if they didnt even cover anything of my first consult someone please put my mind at rest over this. THEY WILL COVER IT, I HAVE MEDICARE AND THEY COVERED ALL BUT 313.00 AND MEDICADE COVERED THAT , JUST BE PATIENT

Just because Medicare covers some people's surgery doesn't mean they will cover everyone's. It sounds like you meet the Medicare critieria for the state of Ohio so I would call the billing department at your doctor's office and find out exactly why they denied. You have the right to appeal their decision and it sounds like you have the ammo to do so. But if they are denying the initial consult as non-covered I would definitely worry that they wouldn't cover the surgery. The place to start is definitely with your doctor's billing office. Hopefully, it was just an error on their behalf.
