Ok - I feel stuck in a time warp! Part of me cannot believe that I only have 20 days till my surgery and oh my how am I going to be ready, it will be here before I know it - blah blah blah. Then the other part of me feels like it is taking a lifetime for my date to get here!!! It is such a double bind!! Thanks for letting me vent!! Have a great weekend - Stacey

Hi Stacey, I was feeling VERY overwhelmed until just about an hour ago. I FINALLY started my "lists". What to buy to take to the hospital, the hotel (out of town surgery), food for when I get home, etc. Just starting the lists has helped me feel a bit more in control. My next hurdle is to accomplish the things I have on the list! (I HATE to shop, so this is a big hurdle). Try doing things a little at a time, it will get better. Hugs, Denise

Stacey, Take a deep breath.....enjoy your family....and enjoy life! You won't feel like doing much afterwards! Lots of naps, walking, and sipping fluids. Also, make sure that you have everything you will need at home for the a couple of weeks post-op. Things you enjoy the taste of now may completely change after surgery! I still can't tolerate the taste of a lot things that I enjoyed pre-op...and like things (chocolate) that I never liked before! Go figure! Also make sure you have plenty of pain reliever at home...I am allowed liquid tylenol.....because it will be hard to get to the store afterwards. I am praying for you!...and your surgeon that everything goes uneventful! Sue p.s. See ya Tuesday!
