Dr.C., anybody please help!
I'm coming in to see you on Tuesday. Will you please tell my idiotic husband that I can't lift something as heavy as a mother-in-law! She gets out of a nursing home on Wednesday after leg/venous surgery and he's just invited her to stay with us. What was he thinking
OMG..he'll be working 2nd shift and I'll have to cook her meals, help her in and out of bed..help her to the bathroom. What if she falls? I barely made it through the grocery store today without losing it. My only hope is that she lives four hours away and won't want to make the trip. My biggest fear is that she likes me better than the alternative, her daughter.
Anyone have a cool summer home on a lake somewhere that I could escape? I'd gladly trade a week at my SC condo which is unfortunately booked all summer.
Oh well, I feel better just letting off steam. Thanks for letting me vent.

Cathy,
All I can say is that he's a man and he just dosn't get it. I don't think most of them do. I know mine doesn't. I can be as sick as can be and everyone still wants me to cook, clean, help with yard work or snow sholving, homework or what ever else needs to be done.
I feel for ya girl.

Please, Please, Please, for your health do not do any lifting, it could cause a hernia, or even damage to your new stomach. It is very important with you just having surgery not to have to take care of anyone. Is there a way that you can get a nurse to care for her? You have worked so hard to have this surgery, it is very important to listen to the doctors. I hope Dr. C will call you and tell your hubby why it is so important right now that you can not do this.
Hugs to you,
Lisa
