just a little depressed
Hello, my name is Adrienn , i had my surgery last week today, june 23. and I've only lost about 7 pounds, i thought i would be looseing like crazy. i cant see a change and im starting to get worried if this choice I made to have surgery will actually work for me. I sure hope it does, b/c I dont wanna be eating 3-4 bites for the rest of my life and see no results LOL . I'm trying to stay encouraged, and tell myself the weight will come off . May be just a little slower than others, Im an impaisiont person as it is .
I havent had any problems so far w/ my surgery and with GOds grace dont plan on any, so I am greatful for that. I just hope to see change soon so i can appriciate the wls more.
Love everyone and congrates to all who are and have lost!!! i will keep my head up and stay incouraged and i will be in some of your shoes soon. ( i mean that literaly, i'll be that small) LOL
thanks for taking the time to read! God Bless. love Adrienn
Adrienn,
Chill out, my dear, give the operation a chance! If you lose 7 lbs a week that's nearly 100 lbs in 3 months!
Trust me, you WILL lose weight. I've never (repeat - never) seen anyone not lose A LOT of weight after a RNY.
Like the song says - "Dont worry, be happy!"
Good luck,

Adrienn,
Sweetheart, just give it a little time. You are still losing all the fluids that they pumped into you in the hospital.. I am now 6 weeks post op and those first two weeks were pretty scary for me emotionally. I was already looking on websites trying to find out how a reversal was done. I was so depressed I seriously considered pulling in front of a semi truck. I thought I had made the biggest mistake in the world. But my Dr was very understanding and prescribed a very small antianxiety medication for me. And then Bada Bing Bada Boom. The world didnt look so bleak. And the weight started coming off. And each day the struggle became less and less. And then one miraculous day MY SMILE came back.
I will keep you in my prayers that you will find your way through this tough time. And please believe us that it does get better in a relatively short time. Just think how many days and weeks you and I wasted overeating and slowly killing ourselves. Just give yourself a little extra TLC and let yourself to adjust to this new life. This life is going to amaze you every day. Each day you will find you can do something that you hadnt done in years. Wrap a towel around yourself, tie shoes easier, slide right in a booth at a resturant. Little things that will just blow your mind!!!!
Big Hugs and Prayers coming your way
Laura
Hang in there Cindy!!! We had surgery the same day same place. I have only made 2 attempts to weigh myself and the first I was happy and the second I was still at the same weight so I've decided not to weigh in till my follow up. I KNOW I will lose and I don't want to discourage myself in anyway. I was lucky pre-op to lose 2 pounds a week so actually I would be delighted with 7 in a week! And by the way Laura..........I'm still waiting to see that beautiful, happy, SMILING picture of you up dear! Take care to all of you!

Hi Adrienn,
Try not to get discouraged,, the weight will come off, your body is just trying to heal after surgery and holding on to all it can. You have to remember when we leave the hospital we usually weigh more then when we went in because of the fluid and gas they pump into us, unfortunatly I didn't weigh myself when I first got home to confirm this.
THis past week I only lost 7 pounds myself, but try not looking at it as only 7 pounds.....7 is better then 6 or less, thats what I keep telling myself!!!
Anyway keep your head up and try not to worry about it to much, I know its hard, but we have to believe it will come off evidetually(sp?) true???
If you need anything, give me a call, even if its just to chat!!
Love,
Tabitha
