Hi friends!!!

Hi everybody. A dear friend mentioned in an earlier post that I haven't posted much lately and she is right. I am guilty of not posting on here as often. I was in Seattle for almost a month visiting my family and it was hard to get to a computer and I didn't have a lot of privacy there. Needless to say, it is great to be home and to be able to read and keep up on things now that I am back. I have missed you all a lot. I didn't have an opportunity to go to support group and I look forward to that on the 11th. Today I am 7 months post-op. Boy it sure does go fast!!!! I am down 96 pounds (136#total) since my surgery. I had hoped to be at the 100# mark by 6 months, but some of my food choices on vacation were not the best. I did try to make sound choices, but I was somewhat limited by what my family had available and by being forced to eat out quite a lot. I got home on the 19th and have gotten focused and back on track again. I believe if I stick with my plan the weight will continue to come off. I am 34 pounds away from my goal. I am hoping to get there by 12 mo out. I do hope to attend the event in Cincinatti. Hopefully I will meet some of you while I am there. If anyone is interested in carpooling, please let me know. Hi Jaimee, Welcome home! 96 lbs is INCREDIBLE, congrats! I'm glad to hear you didn't run into too many roadblocks with food while you were visiting your family. Even if you felt you ate a bit too much, it sounds like you weren't limited as to what you could do or where you could go. Was you family able to help celebrate your success? Glad to see you back! I go for my pre-op testing tomorrow at Kettering Hospital in Dayton and then surgery on 7/21. I hope I can be as successful as you have been. Hugs, Denise
