Cindy,
This would be a great question for our dietitian Erin, she is a weight loss surgery patient herself and is really an expert on this stuff. You can post a question for her on our web site and she will answer it - it's new you real you dot com.

Cindy,
Start by asking yourself are you a chocolate/vanilla/strawberry ice cream type or are you a fruit punch type person? That will help you narrow down the type of drink to go after. I am a chocolate/vanilla type and really haven't met any of that variety that I seriously disliked. I think that Unjury (although it's kind of expensive is a good chocolate.) I really like Designer Whey French Vanilla - I add Sugar-Free Davinci Syrups to that with Carb Countdown milk. I also bought the Carb Conscious Carnation Instant Breakfast from GFS and mixed that with a scoop of unflavored Unjury and CC Milk. Bariatric Eating has samples if you are looking for a fruity variety. I can't recommend a single fruity type, they all tasted disgusting to me.
Hope that helps.

Cindy,
Go to the bariatriceating.com website and order some of Susan Maria's one scoop packets. They are samples and will give you an idea of what to expect from Whey protein. Some are good and some are terrible. The Nectar powders are pretty good. Whey Fruitty too. A previous poster said all fruitty ones are terrible, but I have found that we all have different tasters. Give the samples a try and good luck!
