I WENT TO MY INITIAL CONSULT AND I NEED SOME QUESTIONS ANSWERED. 1.) I NEED A 6 MO. MEDICALLY SUPERVISED DIET...SVCH OFFERS THE LEAP PROGRAM BUT ITS $900 PLUS IT ONLY TAKES 3MO. AND YOU HAVE MET YOU REQUIREMENT THROUGH THAT PROGRAM. WHAT IS MY BEST BET...DOING THAT OR DO A WEIGH****CHERS PROGRAM.

I am in Columbus and we have a 3 month program called Living Well at OSU. It is much less expensive than $900.00 ($300 I think). I just finished it and it was a great program. I really felt that it prepared me for surgery. It encompassed nutrition, exercise and behavior changes. You might want to compare it to this program and see how it measures up. I really believe this program will help me in the long-term. Good luck, Shellie

I would check your insurance company. Many are not accepting Weigh****chers as a supervised diet. You may want to go through your PCP. My feelings were the weight didn't come on overnight and I was willing to do whatever it took to be approved. I did the 6 month supervised diet and lost weight! I started in September....was approved in March and had my surgery on June 1st! I lost 70 pounds prior to surgery and 30 since the 1st of the month! Sue
