Hi Tammy, Glenn, Cheryl and Vicki... I am in such a great mood again today. I am feeling 20 years younger these days and its only been 5 weeks post op. When I was going through that depression at 2 weeks I would of never thought I would feel this way again. Thank you to all of you veteren post ops who kept telling me it would get better. But when you are in the midst of feeling so down its hard to believe. I have so much energy and am able to do things I havent done in years. The walking long distance is still painful even after the 55 pound loss. But RH is in both knees and ankles and I cant change that. But the swimming is doing me a world of good, physically and emotionally. Its my serenity. Thank you all for standing by me when I was whiny and depressed... I Truly Love each and every one of you Laura 309/237-/140

You were never whiney. You were having some terrible days and now its (all gone). I do suffer with depression and have come on this sight with it and I get so much help. We all go through that in our lifetime and thats life. We are so there for one another, and are we not the luckiest group in the world? We all really care for one another and that is something to shout about

Hi Laura! Lady know this, I didn't get out of my wheelchair until I was 3 months post-op and down about 70 lbs. I'm walking, but no marathons, walking far has bad effects on my back thus far (especially on days I got on new brassiere's) I Have a lot of damage to my lower back, hip and well shoot, I'm no spring chicken no more either. I wish I had a friend that would take me to swim class up here, I didn't get my YMCA scholarship, my couselor thinks I got dissed because I mentioned I had WLS, cause she said she has never heard of anyone being turned down. But in the letter they sent me it said, "because we have helped you in the past..." anywho's I'm still trying to find a way. hugs,
