Looking for Summa Patients

Hello. I am looking for someone that has gone to Summa in Akron to have surgery or is going to go there. I am waiting to get approval and then get scheduled and it is the hardest thing I have ever had to wait for.

hi there, i'm not a patient of Dr. Z's but i have a friend who is going through their program. i hear he is a really nice man and has a great program. but she really wants the RNY but he is highly recomending the lap band procedures for his patients. i don't understand why he would recommend this procedure over the RNY when its becoming the gold standard for WLS. good luck. could you let me know what he tells you? thanks. jennifer from akron

When I spoke with him he told me that it is MY decision which surgery to have not his. He will guide you for what might be better but the bottom line is up to you. He is great though and so is his staff. I wish you friend lots of luck with this.

I went to the seminar on Tuesday evening and it was great. Dr Z is wonderful. He is very straight forward and lets you know just how it is. I strongly recommend anyone who is even thinking about this surgery to make an appointment with him or at least get on the list for the seminar. It is worth your time to see if you are a candidate for the surgery. The seminar is very informative and if you dont get a question answered from the presentation....just ask.
