Cigna and Barix?

Anyone out there use Cigna insurance with Barix in Groveport OH? I'm just curious because I don't see Barix listed as In-Network for Cigna or any of their surgeons. So I was wondering what my out-of -pocket expense might be. So I thought I would see if anyone else that went to Barix lately using Cigna might of had to pay. Or anyone who had to pay because their insurance didn't have Barix as In-Network. I've also check Barix website and they don't have any insurance information listed. Thanks Tim

I didn't have cigna or go to Barix. But just call your insurance company they should be able to tell you what you want to know.

hey hope ur having a good day, i can only speak from what i know i have cigna and started out at Barix, and the would rather you go in network which in ohio is OSU , i think they will go with Barix but its only 60 percent so u gotta come up with the 40 , and fight with them about it so why go threw all that drama , i am so glad i had to go to osu they were wonderful , but its all ur choice plus i didnt have the extra cash, best of luck with ur approval and where ever u end up going prayers on a quick process

I have Cigna insurance and the Barix Clinic was not covered. None of the Drs were in network. I ended up at OSU, which I am glad I did. They took the time to teach me how to eat after the surgery and made sure I was good and ready for it. Good Luck and Best Wishes, Julie

Hi Tim, I too had Cigna and Barix was not in network. Since i was told by Barix that i would have to come up with aorund 5,000 i went to a surgeon who was in network and had the surgery done by him. I ended up in Pittsburgh and had my surgery done at Allegheny General last July and am doing wonderful. There was no way i could have paid Barix what they wanted. Keep on looking, find someone who is in the network and make sure the hospitla also is or you will end up paying a portion of that bill also. I only spent $100 out of pocket.....Good luck..........Patty
