Post-Op Neuropathy

I am a pre-op right now with surgery scheduled July 12 (RNY). Question is for a friend. He is about 20 years out from the BPD surgery and has seemed to have developed Neuropathy. Does anyone know about or have any experience with post-op Bariatric Neuropathy. Thank you in advance. Dan

Dan, I am only 3 months post op, but I do have a friend that is 19 years post op and he has some neuropathy as well. He is on this site, here is a link, I am sure he would be glad to talk to you about it. Good luck with you journey! By the way, I also have Aetna and was approved in 14 days! I've had some symptoms of peripheal neuropathy and am scheduled to be test more next week. I haven't had many symptoms lately so not sure if I'm going to have it done...I've had too much medical testing in the past 9 months. I am 26 months post-op...my neurologist said it can happen after WLS...however my labs are normal.
