Dehydrations issues
Well I was admitted into the hospital again on Sunday night. I just got out today. I thought I was doing good with my fluids. I was drinking anywhere from 64oz to 80oz a day. I was just in the hospital not even two weeks ago dehyrdated. The doctor said that I am prone to dehydrate real easy. I should get anywhere from 90-120 oz of fluid a day. Has anyone else had this problem of dehydrating real easy. I am so depressed over this. I have a hard time getting meals in due to me having to drink literally all day long.
Hugs,
Lisa
Hi Lisa! I'm so sorry about your dehydration! Not to be too personal, but are you having vomitting or diarrhea? It seems like 64 to 80 oz. of fluids a day should be enough! Good Grief!
Are you drinking caffeine? I know that can be very dehydrating. I hope you feel better soon! Take care and let us know how you're doing.
Jen

Since my last stay at the hospital I have been getting the 64-80 oz of fluid. I have not been going out very much, and only got to go back to work for one day and only worked 4 hours. I get frustrated sometimes, it seems like all I do is drink, and now that it is increased I plan to start back on some of the full fluids in stage 2, along with protein drinks. I have some Crystal light peach iced tea, I am going to mix some of my pro stat 64 wild cherry in it. Hope it turns out good. Right now is a tuff time, however I can do this. After jumping through all those hoops to have my surgery I will do whatever necessary to make this tool work. I am also seeing if my job will let me start working from home. They normally will as long as it is medically necessary. My surgeon said that he would fill out the paper work. (Dr Barbara is wonderful) That way I wont be out in the heat at all and I can sip sip sip without distractions from the office.
Hugs,
Lisa
