OSU

Could someone tell me when they hold their meeting about wls? I would like to attend but don't know when it is. Is it a far walk from the parking lot...should i bring a wheelchair or do they have fat-friendly wheelchairs? Also, I was wondering, for those of you that had surgery at OSU, did you have to do the 10 day diet thing? That wouldnt be a problem, but I was just curious. Thanks!

Things may have changed in the last 2 1/2 years but I just had to go to see Nancy Weese, the dietitian once a week for four weeks. The group meetings are once a month two different sessions, one for new postops and one for older. I used to get the news letter but not lately. I think it was the first and third Wednesday of the month. They are held on the ground floor of the building on Kenny Rd. It is the tall one with orange trim(can't remember the name). Just call the bariatric clinic and they should be able to give you a day or number to call. Best of luck, Darla

Bobbie, The OSU informational meetings are normally held at a YMCA. So if you have a handicap parking sticker you can park close. Here is the number you can call to find out when the next meeting is: 614-293-2888 opt 4. Good Luck! If you attend the Chillicothe support group meeting, there are some people who had their surgery done at OSU too. There is one tonight at 6:00 at Adena Medical center. Hugs, Julie
