Graduation

Today my middle daughter graduated from High School and my ex and his wife threw a nice garden party to celebrate. Two weeks post op I would of sworn I would ever enjoy such an event again without massive quanities of food. I had a little bit of chicken, a little cheese and some fruit. I nursed my plate along for a good 45 mins and then enjoyed some ice tea with splenda. I didnt feel deprived of anything and loved all the comments about my weight loss. But of course there were the naysayers who had to remind me of all the complications I could still have. All I know is that even with a kidney stone I cant pass I had a lovely time at my daughters party. The weather was beautiful and it was a near perfect day. Thank you to all of you who told me I would feel this way again. That Life without food was never going to be any fun. Today was just perfect.. Love and hugs, Laura
