It's has been awhile since I posted last been busy fighting with my insurance for coverage of my abdominoplasty. Even after an appeal, the procedure was deemed cosmetic and therefore I had to self-pay ($5600) for my full tummy tuck with muscle tighten. Now my husband keeps telling me I am wearing his motorcycle on my stomach Had the three procedures done on Tuesday 5/31/2005 7:30 am the surgery lasted 4 1/2 hours and I was up walking to the restroom by 4pm. I was released on Wed. 6/1/2005 with 3 drains and have my first post op next week 6/9/2005 I hope these drain are gone than. Renee

I am glad to hear you are up and around. I wish I would have know you were having the surgery I would have returned the favor and came to walk with you. My hubby and me are thinking about buying a motorcycle. I guess we should do it now before I need a tummy tuck. LOL. I will talk to you soon, Lisa

Dear Renee, My insurance company approved the tummy tuck. Then, my company decided to change insurance companies so the new one will probably not cover it. I plan on having a tummy tuck, hernia repair, and arm lifts. So, instead of paying $3000.00 out of pocket, I will probably have to pay close to $9000.00. Good Luck In Your Recovery, Tamara R.
