Just starting out and could use some guidance.

I am new to this although I have had my consult with the surgeon. I am having a hard time getting together enough documnentation for the insurance company. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Luann, I am seeing Dr. Aviv Ben-Meir at St. Vincent's Charity in Cleveland. He is very nice. I am following the "journey" but my question is what can you do if you have little documentation when your insurance company wants more? Thanks for responding. Linda

What kind of documentation are they wanting that you are struggling with? I know one person on this sight who sent pictures of herself for the past five years and used pictures that had her granddaughter in then to "prove" the time difference of the pictures. There may be more suggestions if you let us know what you specifically are missing. Good Luck - Stacey

Well the insurance company wants a 5 year documentation of weight from my pcp, unfortunately I always deferred my weight so there is no weight documented until the last visit which was only 1 month ago. Any advice? Thanks for all your help. Linda

Well - maybe you could try pictures? Or did you keep any diet journals with weights? Or try writing a letter? Did you ever go to the emergency room or urgent care that you could get the records from? I had to gather mine from three different docs. Good Luck! Stacey
