I am referencing this post: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/surgtype-forums/LapBand/postdetail/170154.html?vc=0 I also had gallbladder surgery (laproscopically) in 1996. Could this affect my surgery also? I had never considered that it would have an impact. thanks for any info!

I had gallbladder surgery (lap) about one year before my WLS. I didn't have any problems. Just make sure your surgeon knows you had a previous surgery. I was extra lucky becasue I had the same surgeon for both. Miss Q

Melissa, I have never (knock on wood) had to open a patient just for the fact that they had previous gallbladder surgery. The adhesions are minimal, even from an open procedure. Dr. C

Great Vicki! I know he'll do ok. I'm just getting a little jittery/excited all at once. BTW, congratulations on the great weightloss. Cathy
