Almost 4 1/2 Post OP and feeling good!!!!
I just wanted to give you avid message board folks an update on me. I had surgery Dec. 27th at Deaconess in Cincinnatti.
Pre-Op I was 314lbs I got on the scale this morning and I am now 235. That is almost 80lbs, I am pretty stoked about the weight loss. I am now wearing 36 waist(44 pre-op). I now look in the mirror and see a little bit of a difference. Everyone else is just blown away about the difference, but you know how it is when you look at yourself in the mirror.
I will be posting another picture soon.
I have had no complications whatsoever and consider myself lucky.
I also wanted to ask if others feel like I do. I sometimes get scared that I am going to fail at this long term. I notice that I am eating more and more little by little. For example yesterday for mothers day I had a whole Burger and a couple bites of the sides(veggies). The burger was a thin one less than an 1/8 of a pound. It just scares me that I shouldnt be eating that much. I was really full when I was done but did not feel sick as if I had ate too much. Can someone give me some insight on this, am I the only one that feels like this or are there others with the same questions/concerns????????????
I sometimes eat very little and I am full and other times It takes more for me to get full. Is this normal???
I am the same way. One day I am so stuffed I cant eat hardly anything, and the next day I could eat anything. I noticed on my vacation I ate more sugar and snacks more then anything. Bad,bad girl I was. I still lost . I am 10 months out and yes, I do notice I can eat more and I think thats real normal. I am afraid when my 18 months are up.

So glad you are having such a good success. I met with Dr. Curry and his staff today for the first time, loved the staff and he was really nice. Glad to hear and see some of his other patients on this board. Keep up the great work. And, like everything I think it is most likely normal for you to be more hungry on some days then others. ....Pam

Hi! I am almost 11 months out and lost 120lbs. Went from a size 20 to a size 4. I looked at myself in the mirror at 100lbs weight loss and still thought i was fat. Now i see myself as thin and like what i see. Dont have much loose skin guess im lucky. I still eat a little bit 4 nuggets at the most. I can eat anything now and dont get sick unless i eat that one bite to many. Good job your doing. They say at a year out you should be able to eat a kids size meal. Pattie
