Hi Autumn! I definitely can't be of any help because I too have been searching for weeks for local support groups around Lima! Why is it so hard for those of us that live a great distance from our surgeon to find these meetings? I just called Dr. Curry's office & spoke with Nancy & she gave me a website that might be of some help. I haven't gone there yet, but here it is: (www)wlsfriends.com ObesityHelp.com would do well to have information available regarding local support group meetings, since this is a very important resource for many of us. Good luck in finding yours..... NancyT

Autumn, We have one here at OSU, but that would still be one heckuva haul. Have you tried any of the hospitals up there that do wls? If you don't have one, maybe you could start one. I know OH helps folks to get support groups started. Good luck in your search. Having a support group is so helpful. It's nice to have actual human interaction with people who are in the same boat. I hope you can hook up with some one up that way. Take care, Val

yeah osu is still a ways away specially if i have to travel alone i don't know of any hospitals up here that do the surgery but maybe i better check better and i don't know about starting my own with all my medical probs and taking care of my disabled fiancee and not haveing the surgery yet think someone who has had the surgery would be better for the job of running a support group

Hi Autumn: I don't know of any groups in Sandusky but I know there are a couple in Cleveland and North Canton. They are far but not as far as Cincy. Good Luck - Stacey

Autumn, There is a support group at University Hospital in Cleveland. They meet on the 1st Monday of the month. You can go to their web site and there will be a number. You must call in advance. I will be there! Surgery date is set. I have Dr. Jasper! I love their program. Sue
