*sigh* life is..
so short...
I just found out my 40 yr old BIL, passed away this afternoon. He laid down afterwork, fell asleep and that was that. My sister and him were having more than their fair share of problems and this will ice the cake for my sister, she was stressing so bad as is. I just gave her a car on payments this past weekend in fact, so they could get to their jobs. Legally they were not married, but they were together over 3 yrs so... So this leaves my sister with absolutely nothing but heartache and bills. He had custody of his 3 teenage children also, but now, they will become wards of the state as she has no legal ties to them.
I don't know if I'll do any more GTKY's this week as I don't what's happening here just yet.
reminder here, tell the people you love everyday that you love them, ya just don't know when our time will be up.
God Bless... I love you all
Vickie
Vickie - You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. We never know what life will throw at us all we can do is do the best we can and rely on those around us for support! Thanks for the great advice to remind us all to tell the people we love them everyday!
Also, if the kids have been living with her for three years and have no one else she could get placement of the kids. I don't know if your sister wants the kids, but if she does, she would probably qualify as a kinship care provider for the kids. Tell her to ask Children's Services and they will walk her through the process and determine the appropriateness.
Good Luck!!
Stacey
Vickie,
Don't you worry about the GTKY's one iota! You worry about taking care of your family right now, and know that we are all with you in prayers and thoughts.
I say that often, tell the people you love that you love them and hug them as often as you can. We just never know, life can end in a blink of an eye.
You know, if God brings you to it, he will get you through it. We all love ya here.
Take care of business and I will pray for you on this end!
Much love,
Val

Vicki,
I am so sorry for the loss for your family. Your sister is so blessed to have you in her life. I am sure it means so much to her to have your help and support. I will keep all of you in my prayers and hope that your sister will find the strength to get through this rough time.
Lots of hugs to you,
Laura
Vickie,
I am sorry to hear you have had such bad news! Don't worry about us here, you concentrate on you and yours and we will do what we can, I will try to post something, but I will have limited access as we are in California and Bo is having his surgery this Friday.
Keep us updated on how you guys are doing.
