I know Dr. Curry does Smo. He also will have another Doc. help him if he thinks it is at all risky. You might want to have a consult with him. He is so worth it. He is really wonderful and always here for us at all times

I had Dr. Muscarella when I had my surgery done two and a half years ago and I was very impressed with his method of answering questions. I had originally been signed up for Dr. Needleman but was transfered to Dr. M. I have been very lucky and pleased with my surgery, recovery and weight loss. Be sure you ask what your weight loss percent calculation will be, I did not and was upset that I did not lose all the excess weight like some have done. This is an individual thing and based on our life style, body shape and other things. He wants you to keep annual appts. for follow up. His office is set up for verrry large people and so is the surgery suite. Just be sure to ASK questions right up front. Good luck and God bless, Darla

Hi Valorie from Valerie! Dr. Muscarella is a great doc. He does our SMO patients and I think he does a great job. I have never met him personally, but I know that the people he has done surgery on are very happy with him. I work at OSU as well as having my surgery there, so I can honestly say that I think we have a great Bariatric Dept. there. Dr. M has done surgery on some EXTREMELY SMO people. So, he has the experience. Be sure to have a list of questions, the surgeons would rather have you ask then not and go in wondering. The only stupid question is the one you DON'T ask. Good luck! Keep us posted on your progres! Hugs, Val
