Haven't been around much but
Haven't been around much lately got so busy trying to get more stuff going for the surgery and ended up getting sick was totally wore out and then got a flu or something that lasted like a week *ughhhhhh*
Anyway i met with the surgeon had the sleep study done started a low-no carb diet (mostly liquid) and trying to find a pschy doc for a psch eval but can't find one that takes medicaid so if anyone knows one near Sandusky that takes medicaid please let me know *desperatly waiting for that 6 month approval countdown to begin*
Also is there any support groups around here like toledo or something within an hour of Sandusky? i'd really like to go to some meetings Please let me know if anyone knows any thanks
Dear Autumn,
I have been told that Medicaid does not pay for the psych evaluation. I am having my surgery done at OSU and I had to self pay the day of the evaluation. It was $415.00 and there was no reimbursement. And then the MEDGEM test was another $53.00 the day of the appt, and it wasnt covered either.
Its just another speed bump along the way.. For me with my financial situation , I almost gave up on having it done. But I had a little miracle and I was able to have the testing done.
The best of luck to you Autumn.. Keep the faith that it will happen. Pray about it and make it happen.
Hugs,
Laura
When you did the sleep study did you take a great big test (written or computer) ?
Do you see a therapist for anything mental? I do for depression and although the Dr isn't a phys Dr, he's been treating me for years and all I needed was a clear and go ahead with surgery from him. (I have Medicaid) I go to Family Services NW Ohio (downtown Toledo)
Who's requiring you do this? Dr C? Cause Medicaid doesn't require it. even though I had the go ahead. But then again I had my approval when I seen Dr. C the first time.
No support groups in Toledo at present, just Dr/patient ones. We do really need to get Bari-buds up and going again, but everyone is so busy right now, can't get anyone to take on the leader position.
Luck,
Vickie
The sleep test i did was where i had to go there and get wired for sound and was expected to sleep lol
no i haven't been seeing anyone for depresion or anything i called the mental health clinic at the hospital but all the have you talk to are counslers and appoinment to go there isn't till may 9th
It is Dr C that requires the psch eval not medicaid
