Insurance pay/Self Pay

Does anyone know of a doctor around the Cinncinnati/Dayton Ohio area that will accept payment from the insurance company and the difference from the patient? The reason I want to know this is because I got approved with my new insurance company (Health Span) but I have a $10,000 cap on the surgery. I did have Medical Mutual insurance last year but they kept denying me, so on Jan. 1, 2005 the cap went into affect for me. Please let me know.

Michelle, you should try Dr. Fallang. They are really good about accepting insurance payments and do private pay as well. The Surgical Weight Loss Center's phone number is 1-800-424-3533. Talk it over with them. He did my surgery and I think he is great. Best of luck, feel free to email me. Chris

Ditto Dr. Fallang's office would be my recommendation. In fact they told me they prefer to have "out of network" coverage as they end up making more money than if they were under contract with an ins co.

As a group UC Surgeons does provide this as an option. I do believe that most programs do, not to limit your options. All I ask is that you go to a program that offers lifelong care by the surgeons as well as your primary care doctor. Remember education and continuous follow are the key to success. Sincerely, Dr. Selwyn UC Center for Surgical Weight Loss. [email protected]

There is a bank that is doing loans for the self pay and they do it so you could make payments over a 5 year period. Give me a day to find the inforation on which bank it was, I learned this when I went to the St. vincent Charity Hosptal's seminar on March 25, it's something just a month or two old. I can't find my notebook right off. I promise I will look.

it is National city Bank in Westlake, not sure if it's all National city's or just the westlake office. Worth a call. They didn't give us a contact so I can't help you their, I would say ask for the bank manager and they should be able to help direct you. Hope this helps.
