Do you mean 12-21-04? If so, you have lost over 40 lbs in just three months. That is great if you have lost 40 lbs. I feel I should have lost more but I look at it this way. I am "??" lbs less than I was when I started and I am happy with that. Keep up the good work, it takes time. It took us a long time to get here we need to give ourselves time to fix it, and we will. I don't get sick at all when I eat sugar either, so the temptation is VERY STRONG....... Good Luck and keep up the good work. Lise

I think we have all had the idea this surgery would be a piece of cake (pardon the pun!) But it does really take alot of work, I tell people all the time you have to be very intuned with your mind and body.. Your body has to know what it can tolerate and what it can't..along with what makes us feel good and what doesn't..Mentally I had to accept that I have an addiction, that addiction is very real, very painful and very dangerous, I almost died 3 years ago from my obesity..the end result was losing my right kidney..I decided a year later to have this surgery and I have worked my tail end off to make sure it works for me! I was given a tool, my talented surgeon operated on my stomach but not my brain, that part is up to me. I get up every single morning and tell myself it is a wonderful day..I feel good physcially and I feel good about myself for the first time in years. then I remind myself about my addiction and ask what can I do to prepare myself today? I don't mean to sound harsh but I work with patients every day as I volunteer as a patient advocate. I would be saying to one of them now so why did you test yourself so soon out? why did you eat that candy and if you accept that you have a problem with food as I did..why on earth do you have those things in your reach? You did this surgery for you and no one else..if you have a slow weight loss stop and evaluate what you are doing wrong..hang in there and talk to someone who has been successful..Find a support group and get involved. I lost 120 lbs in 10 months, and more later now down 154 lbs..it's not to late if you only had the surgery 3 months ago..but eventually the window of opportunity will close for you then it is back to the old diets again.. If I can be of help please contact me. I would be glad to help you..I want to see everyone succeed!! Brenda
