Paula,
Like Cathy, I have been thinking about you too. All weekend, I was wondering how your nerves were treating you..
You looked so excited at the Circleville support group meeting the other night...and so cute with that new haircut! We are not that far apart in distance, maybe once you are up and about we can meet in Chillicothe, maybe go see Cathy! I know you are going to do great, but know that I am wishing you the very best! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers...Be Blessed!
Mary

Paula, I have so enjoyed watching you post as you wait for surgery. You have such a sweet and positive attitude.
You're going to do so well. Just keep thinking positive, and remember that no matter what you're going through at the time that might seem hard, it passes and you're healing every single minute.
I'm looking forward to seeing you join our rockstar-in-training club!
Best wishes for a safe surgery and easy, smooth recovery. We'll be thinking about you!

Paula,
Cheryl and I are delighted to have gotten to know you on this side and we will walk with you on the "other side" too! Just keep your eyes on the prize and you will have the dreams of your heart. I know that it seems impossible but, through "thick and thin" is about to have new meanig to you! Hugs to you and your family. Keep the faith!

Paula,
I am so excited for you. I hope this journey gets you to your goal. I will not tell you this is easy because I haven't met anyone yet who would say that surgery is the easy way. It's a tool that has it's advantages and disadvantages and you have to learn them and live by them to make them work for you. You have to want this in your heart to make it work. When your heart really wants it you will find the drive to pull through and succeed where you have failed before.
I would say the best advice I could give you is to take advantage of the honeymoon months. These first few months after surgery is when you will really lose a lot of weight with the least amount of effort. You have to hit the road running. Get in as much water, protein and exercise as you can every day. This is your chance. You can't waste it. I would also strongly suggest to keep your carbs low. This will also take it off faster. You will wish you had this time again when your a year out.
Make sure I get update calls. Tell them to leave me updates even if I don't answer because I have a few meetings tomorrow and I may not be able to pick up right then. Also if when they call they can leave me a number where I can reach them, that would be wonderful.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. We have 274000 members here at OH and you are not walking in the operating room alone. We will be with you the whole time.
Cheryl
Good luck and God Bless Paula! I will keep you in my prayers all day tomorrow, but Wednesday will be my big day and I will be drugged...so I can't pray for you then! hee
I know you will do wonderfully and have a completely uneventful surgery! ***may the WLS angels protect you and guide you in your new healthy life.****
